The school was established in 1999, under the auspices of Shree Rahul Education Society (Regd.), primarily to fulfill the need of a good English medium school in the Golden Nest area of Mira Road (E) - the newly developed residential area on Mira-Bhayandar Road. It evoked a positive response from the local population in and around Golden Nest area right from the lime of inception of the school as reflected by 700 admissions in the first year. The enrolment increased year after year and currently (Nov. 2009) 3170 students are on its roll. Queen Mary's is one of the leading schools in Mira Road neighbourhood. The School boasts of the multicultural, cosmopolitan character of its student community.
